Why you need a content decay report
Most pages don't drop overnight. They fade. A few clicks lost this week, a few more the next, until a page that used to drive real traffic is barely visible, and you never got an alert.
Google Search Console shows you the numbers, but not the story. It won't tell you which decline is a ranking loss, which is a click-through drop, and which is just seasonal demand. So you either check every page by hand or you miss the decay until it's expensive.
How to find and fix decaying pages with betr.gsc
1. Spot the decay at a glance
The Content Decay view surfaces every page losing clicks, ranked by how much traffic is recoverable. No manual comparison across date ranges, it's already done.

2. Understand why it's dropping
Each page gets a diagnosis: ranking loss, CTR erosion, demand shift, or mixed. You know whether to refresh the content, rewrite the title, or leave it alone.

3. Fix it and confirm it worked
Work through the Action Feed from highest impact down. Mark a fix done and betr.gsc checks back later: "Since you fixed this: clicks +34%."

The payoff
Stop losing traffic you already earned. Catch decay while it's still cheap to reverse.
